Film shoots bring added revenue to the city, provide jobs, support local businesses and restaurants, and sometimes, they even donate to organizations like this one. Every dollar that is donated to this non-profit is funneled back into the community for items like replacing broken parts to the splash pad or playground equipment. This page will provide information on film shoots as soon as we know it. Email blasts are great but many of our neighbors and members are not signed up for emails or use social media. Update 6/18/23: Due to recent changes by the Mayor's Office, filming in Jersey City has become a more difficult and expensive process. Therefore, this page will probably be retired at the end of the summer. |
Wednesday, June 20, 2023 from 7 am to 9 pm "Winston" will be filming at 26 West Hamilton Pl. Due to changes in filming requirements by the Mayor's Office, information regarding this shoot is as follows.
No parking requests are as follows: - West Hamilton Place (west side only), between Pavonia and 9th St. for filming - Pavonia Ave (north side only) between Coles and West Hamilton for filming - Coles (east side only) between Pavonia & 9th St for equipment - 1 parking space 6th St (north side only) between Brunswick & Monmouth. This will be the last filming for this production. Previous information was that this production would have multiple shoots through the summer but that has changed since new restrictions on filming have been enacted. | Thursday, May 18, 2023 from 7 am to 10 pm CANCELLED "Summit" will be filming on Coles St. between 8th and 10th Sts. There will be a complete closure of Coles Street between 8th & 10th The attached Neighborhood Notification letter outlines their parking needs as does the map which shows where they will do officers will be supervising the flow of traffic. The production is offering replacement parking for affected residents at Newport West garage 49 Mall Dr. (see attached Neighborhood letter on whom to contact for vouchers). In addition, street cleaning on the following blocks will be suspended on Thursday 5/18: Coles Street (btw 8th St. & 10th St) Monmouth St (btw 8th St. & 9th St.) Pavonia Ave (btw Brunswick & West Hamilton Pl) Resident Informational Letter for parking locations, please contact the name and number listed.
