The Hamilton Park Neighborhood Association (HPNA) has received permission from the city to affix plaques, with an in-memoriam dedication, to the park benches in Hamilton Park. The plaques can be dedicated to someone special in your life who has passed*. 

Multiple people may contribute to the same bench plaque and a personal inscription for the plaque is part of the  application (see below for more details). Once approved by the HPNA and paid for by the applicant, the preferred bench will be officially reserved by the applicant and the plaque will then be produced (approx. ~4 weeks) and installed. The installation date will be provided to the applicant once confirmed. 

The cost is $850 per plaque for a period of 10 years. The plaques will be 4” X 6” in size and made of tooled bronze. And 100% of the net proceeds will go toward improvements to Hamilton Park or events to be held there. So, it’s a win-win. You can create a legacy for someone near and dear to you AND support Hamilton Park, which is also near and dear to you. 

Applicants will be asked to provide information on why they are seeking a plaque in Hamilton Park. Plaques cannot be dedicated to corporate entities or organizations.

Please note, the HPNA reserves the right to temporarily or permanently alter or relocate benches under certain circumstances. In such cases, the HPNA will make all reasonable efforts to consult with the original applicant prior to any such relocation or alteration. The HPNA reserves the right for final approval on all plaque applications.  

*As part of the application requirements we would look to receive any documentation available to verify the deceased (e.g. death certificate, obituary, funeral resolution)
