The Taming of the Shrew

Shakespeare's classic battle of the sexes romp gets a retro Italian spin as the action gets updated from the 1500s to the 1960s.

Kate, a modern, self-assured woman who can't stand the parade of moronic men who her mother wants to fix her up with, gets her world rocked with the arrival of the equally stubborn but crazy Petruchio.

Petruchio thinks he has the answers on how to "tame" Kate, but discovers that she is more than just an angry woman and both come to a mutual understanding of each other. Crazy disguises, absurd situations, and some espresso, make for a lively time in Shakespeare's Italy.
